✦ What Lives in the Library ✦

Doorways, not deadlines.

A gentle map of what you'll find here —
whenever you're ready.

There is no wrong way to arrive. Some come for the journals. Some for the letters. Some just to sit by the fire with StoryJoe and a small cup of something warm. Everything below is a door. Every door is open.

Step Inside
a note before you wander

You are not here to achieve anything, or become anything.

These are not programs. They are not steps. They are not a curriculum for becoming someone else. They are places to sit, small worlds to walk through, and quiet companions for the long hours. Everything here is offered the way a librarian slides a book across the counter — I thought of you when I saw this one.

The Shelves

Four quiet corners of the library. Wander in any order. Stay as long as you like.

The Letters

Two letters a month, each a doorway into a small world — a story, a gentle prompt, something curated from the shelves. Signed by Katherine & StoryJoe.

Receive the Letters

The 30-Day Journals

A new story world every month. Gorgeous art to color, gentle prompts, and a running narrative you can walk through. No blank page. No wrong way. Some days it's just coloring.

Wander a World

Kintsugi Totems

Tiny handmade animals mended with gold. A quiet philosophy you can hold in your palm: the broken places are where the light gets in, and where the gold gets poured.

Meet the Totems

Gentle Coaching

Quiet one-on-one company from a nurse coach who speaks in stories, not steps. If this finds you, and it feels right, the chair by the window is yours.

Sit by the Window
StoryJoe
the keeper of small important things

StoryJoe comes with everything.

He is teacup-sized, rainbow-horned, and deeply opinionated. He rings a small silver bell for wins other people would miss. He moves the blanket, makes the tea at exactly the right temperature, and grumbles about it after.

Once you've found him, he travels with you. Pockets. Passenger seats. Grocery stores with too-bright lights. The 3am hallway with a tiny lantern. Hand on chest, slow breath — he's already there. "Highly portable. It is one of my many talents."

He has been waiting. He always has.

what a month in the library looks like

A gentle path, not a program.

The Threshold

You step into the world. No introduction, no orientation. The story is already happening. So are you.

The Wandering

A soft exploration of the month's theme. Pages to color. Music to sit with. An old tale, retold. Prompts tucked under stones.

The Prompt Garden

Two or three quiet invitations. "Tucked under a stone, someone left this question…" Take one. Leave the others.

StoryJoe's Shelf

Something curated this week. A book, a song, a quote, a small wonder. Curated, of course. Not pulled down.

The Night Watch

A soft place to land. A sound, a video, a small comfort — for late hours and hard nights. The library is open at 2:47am. Especially then.

The Open Door

If you would like to go deeper — a journal, a free resource, a quiet hour together — the door is always open. Never a step. Only ever an invitation.

a quiet word about the keeper

Katherine & StoryJoe

I'm a registered nurse coach. I have spent my life loving books the way some people love breathing — as survival, as friendship, as the door out and the door back in.

The work I do is gentle. It uses coloring and stories and quiet prompts. It never asks you to be okay. It never asks you to earn anything. It is simply a place where the substance of the air is love, and StoryJoe is a very small, very fierce keeper of that place.

If this finds you, and something in you leans toward the door — the fire is lit. The chair by the window is yours.

Come in, whenever you're ready.

A short note is enough. A hello. A pause. StoryJoe will pat the cushion beside him without looking up. That's how he welcomes you.

The library is open.

It always is. StoryJoe is, as ever, available. ("Not waiting. Available. Those are different things," he mutters.)

With wonder and love,
Katherine & StoryJoe
